Our electric + water was under $350... Usually it costs more than rent would a lot of places this time of year, but the rain means we save on the water even if our electricity usage doesn't seem to be much affected.
Our water was $137. Fort Smith has the most expensive water in Arkansas.
So water + electric for us was $378. Ugh.
A few years ago, though, we were regularly having $300 + electricity bills. This landlord put in a heat pump, which has lowered electricity costs significantly.
Nah, we don't water the lawn (who could afford to!) -- that's how much water costs here. I think it has to do with mismangement by the city, since water elsewhere in Arkansas is nowhere near that pricey.

!! That water bill is insane! At least if you've been watering your lawn as little as we have (which is what usually costs us $$$ in the summer).
