I need to buy a microwave. Our present one is dead. We bought it when we moved in here, which means it's less than two years old. Ugh.
So I priced some new microwaves and holy hell. Didn't microwaves used to cost like $50? Now the cheapest I'm finding are over $100.
There are also ones that cost more than $500, but since they too will probably break in under two years, I really don't want to spend that much.
Anyone have any reccs? What microwave do you suggest?

We like our Panasonic. It wasn't the cheapest. It's lasted many years, though. Maybe 10? Good luck finding a good one next time!
What a coincidence! We're getting a kitchen renovation late November/December. Without a workable kitchen for about four weeks, we are thinking about getting a meal delivery subscription. Just today, I realized that the food containers will not be safe for our toaster oven, so we are going to invest in a cheap countertop microwave and then try to sell it after the renovation is done.
I got a small GE one. It runs. It was definitely half the price two years ago. Thanks, tariffs + greedflation!
I'm going to look at Panasonics and GE microwaves. Thanks, y'all!
I got a Kenmore 23 years ago that I am still using.
