Some of my kid's favorite books when he was little were Dr. Seuss books. He especially liked I'll Teach My Dog a Lot of Words. I just think it's hilarious that by deciding not to print a couple of books with troubling/racist imagery, Dr. Seuss's publishers convinced conservatives to buy thousands of (non-racist) copies of his books.

True. And it's also Republicans who refuse to admit that their trans kids exist.
I have an unhealthy fascination with a YouTube channel and a blog (different creator), for their use of logic (or lack thereof) baffles me. The former are religious zealots who think we are in end times, and the latter uses every single problem to blame Biden, for the blogger cannot stand the idea of progressive liberals.
What I am finding is that extreme Republicans, probably MAGAs, want life to be like the mid-twentieth century, or how they romanticize it: only straight, white people; Christianity is the only religion, prices are cheap, food is plentiful, etc.
Also, if I see "We the people" used on more time . . . .
Right, that's the world they want -- the one they imagine existed in 1950: Their brand of Christianity is the only one (because they persecute Jews, Catholics, Mormons, etc); prices are cheap (because they're exploiting labor and forcing poor and brown people to work for pennies); food is plentiful (again, because it's farmed with near-slave and ACTUAL slave labor), they're in charge (they assume they would, of course, be the rulers in any just world, because God loves them best),LGBT people don't exist (more persecution), and immigrants do their best to become WASPs as quickly as possible (meanwhile working for pennies and being persecuted).
Also, every public school taught Latin and Greek to every student, and a high school degree was the equivalent of a college degree today and no one had sex outside of marriage and then only when they wanted babies.
