Mmmm...

Not to gloat, because that would be rude,

but doesn't it feel good, to have the good guys winning again, finally?

Yay, America!

I have gloated all day. I keep telling everyone that we are finally right again. Most folks agree, but there are some, Mr. Zelda included, who think that we are now in trouble. Trouble! Geeze, we are in a war amidst a civil war, we have no rights left, we are about to loose our choices, and we have a president who can't spell cat. Geeze, I think we are at the bottom of the barrel and can only go up.

okay, so you know, I'm suppose to be promoting Greek Life as part of my "task" for Emerging Leaders (we had an apprentice theme this year) and you know, I haven't done much for it because I've been to busy basking in the joy of winning....yeah, and when my team loses and goes into the boardroom and theiy do their scolding, well, I'm gonna tell 'em "The Democrats swept the house. HA!"

I'm trying to be nice to the Rs I know (not that they deserve it), but my husband is itching to say to the whiners, "I'm in the majority now, so FUCK YOU!"

Our office neighbor came by yesterday kvetching about "San Fran Nan" (via Rush?) and about how afraid she is that Pelosi will now be Speaker. I decided that the best offense is to ask questions of these morons. So I ask, "Why are you afraid?"

"Because she's an aging, hippie liberal with radical ideas!"

"Like what?" I ask.

"Everything she says!" is the reply.

"Can you give me an example of something she's said that you don't like?"

My take is a bit different. I'm very relieved to see the Repubicans out of power, but having Democrats in power doesn't do much for me. Definitely an improvement, though.
