117,000 Dead

In case you thought the pandemic was over, nah.

A hundred and seventeen thousand dead so far. 754 dead yesterday.

Trump's solution? He's going to hold a rally. But don't worry! He's making his slavering fans sign a waiver promising not to sue when they get sick.

As for me, it's been almost a month since I got sick, and I am still not well. At this point, all I want is to feel relatively normal again. (Whine, whine.)

Sorrow. Support to you.
Sadness and grief.
I feel so old (accurately) and wish everyone would wear masks and wash hands and social distance...... because people would still get sick and some would die but it could be waaaaay fewer people.
Contact tracing that event's attending population will overwhelm the already inadequate staffing levels for such tracing and isolating we have in this nation.
If a person does not attend but becomes ill and death is traceable to this event can heirs sue for knowingly creating a public health risk........

Keep on being kind to you and healing. Thank you for writing.

If it makes you feel any better it was about 5 weeks until I wasn't exhausted any more. I have a little asthma but am otherwise active and relatively fit. It was miserable. Like... the world's worst influenza that you don't have any immunity to! But with ten times the death rate!

It does make me feel better!

I've been seeing reports from people who say they've had it for months, and still feel terrible. Another week or two, I can handle. But months!
