We bought a Panasonic, 900w. So far I'm very happy with it, though it has a child-lock function that takes a little getting used to.
(Basically, when the microwave dings, you can't open it until you hit the child-lock button. Useful for those with small children, I guess, but annoying for me.)

The booklet that came with it says we can deactivate the feature too, but it only deactivates for one cooking cycle. Then it comes back on.
