Ugh My Knee Hurts

Which brings up the perennial question: Should I go see my primary care physician, or am I just at the point in life where everything is going to hurt all the time?

I'm choosing the latter, not because I actually think it's true, but because I can't bear spending one more hour in a doctor's waiting room.

If you have insurance, do they have a nurseline or concierge? If so, I recommend calling that number for advice. I've only tried calling a nurseline and only when I was trying to figure out whether to see a doctor. So far they've always said that if the symptoms persisted until a certain future date, then go. And then symptoms were gone by then. (Except for that time when I had appendicitis when my symptoms did get worse, and then I went, and that was the right thing to do, though earlier would have been better.)

That's an idea. I know there was a nurse we could call when we lived in Charlotte, because I called them more than once (the kid was tiny and I tended to panic).

There's a guy on Instagram who goes by Dr Dan, DPT and he has some really solid PT advice, if that sounds like something that might help.

Amen. My mother was a public health nurse, and she trained us to wait and see if whatever it was would go away. Not, of course, chest pain, serious difficulty with breathing, or double vision. Call your nurse! He or she will give you guidance.
