My husband served for 20 years in the Ar Force and his disability and retired military pensions pay our mortgage. His monthly medications (currently paid for by the VA) run about $600.00 month. If he lost those benefits, we'd be homeless and he'd be in a wheelchair in a matter of months.
Clarification: I meant to write "Air Force."
