Oh joy!

Here is a site I know you will love as much as I do:

World Wide Words, by Michael Quinion.

Words like Git, hebetude, zip (in the political sense) and many others are explained in brief and charming essays. My new favorite place to hang.

Thanks! I love this site.

But come on, when you first saw the word "cruciverbalist," didn't you think it might have something to do with religious jargon?

This site is a great way to make sure one learns something new every day.

Wow! What a great site for a word (abusing) geek. I should have a lot of fun making groaner puns and obtuse dis-pronunciations using this site.

Let me just say, wow! Why have I not ever found this place. Mucho thanks.
