I just heard from Zelda (http://darcy12.blogspot.com/ ) that Brokeback Mountain is coming to Fayetteville -- just up the hill from the Fort -- this weekend.
Oh by the way, just about 12 more hours and I am going to see it, yeah, that's right, going to see the movie about the man or the men, nonetheless, I want to see it because it is a good story and one of the screenplay writes is one of my favorite authors, Larry McMurtry. So, cowboys and love and romance and horses, wow. Everything I need to give me fodder for thought for the next, oh say five minutes. See you, and hope the Sunday thing pans out.
What a kind offer, Zelda! Thanks for suggesting it. Unfortunately, we are too wrapped up in packing boxes and preparing for our move to enjoy an afternoon of cinematic leisure.
I watched the movie and I guess I am ashamed to say that I was not impressed by the movie. I am also sad to say that at in my early 30's I am old fashioned and maybe 13 years in the armed forces has had its impression, that maybe homophobia is seared in to my psyche. I just was not entertained or enlightened by a pro-homosexual cowboy couple.

It's about time. I can't wait, gotta group for Saturday night, and I'm sitting for friends who are going Sunday. Cool beans is what I say.
