My intrepid reporter in the field reports to me on a bumper sticker she saw this morning:
Give War a Chance
Isn't that just so cute?
Because -- heaven knows -- we really, really, really just haven't given war enough of a chance yet. We need to try it out some more.

Reminds me of a song "War what is it good for, absolutely nothing." Well, listening to the right wing students and I have to include my husband in that discussion, it seems that they see war as an economic booster, it saved us from the depression! What I say, who says this crap. It's a fact. Wars are good on the economy. How, I wonder and say since they get the government into billions and billions of dollars debt, give veterans chronic problems that the government has to pay for, leaves chidren without parents, and on and on. Well, the truth is, the war is really good for the "haves" of this country, you know the ones who supply the military with uniforms, guns, bombs, gas, and on and on. So, while the war is bad for the poor, since the poor are usually the fighters, it is an awsome thing for the haves and in a capitalist society like ours, it is all about the rich getting richer and the poor, well we know how that goes.
