In Canada health care is free at the point of service, but it's not necessarily any quicker or more user-friendly. Sometimes it's even less quick. From one who has experience with both.
True, but the big gotcha I keep hearing from people is that maybe our health care in the US is so expensive it bankrupts hundreds of thousands of us (including me), but at least we don't have to WAIT, at least we can be seen when we need help -- twice this month Dr Skull and I have had to leave an ER without being seen because we had waited for hours and could not (physically could not, in his case) wait any longer.
